Let’s face it, nutrition these days is downright confusing. You’ve got your best mates sister telling you to cut out all carbs and put butter in your coffee and then you’ve got your mum telling you not to eat eggs… We all know what we shouldn’t eat and that we should eat more vegetables, but knowing and doing are two completely different things.
Mitch will take you on a journey and give you the secret tips and practical tricks to help you get your health on track and stay there, without sacrificing a beer or your favourite treat!
Mitch is an ‘out of the box’ thinking Accredited Sports Dietitian currently working with local professional teams – The Cairns Taipans and Northern Pride, as well as elite and amateur individuals and clubs. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast and is also a level 2 anthropometrist (skinfolds). Offering a unique approach that blows the ‘dietitian stigma’ out of the water, he practices what he preaches. He’s completed the Cairns 70.3 Ironman, plays Rugby Union at premier grade level and loves getting outdoors on the weekends.
Mitch is also a member of the ‘Primary Health Networks Clinical Advisory Group’ and presents regularly at many symposiums and conferences, as well as being a regular contributor to local media.
Mitch is a strong believer that there are no bad foods, only some that may be better than others. As an avid ‘chocoholic’, and a bloke that loves a beer, he believes all food should be enjoyed in moderation.
